How do I get on IRC?

You can use an applet Torpia provides. This applet can be found at http://chat.torpia.com

Replace the com with the characters of your country and you will find yourself in a chatbox with fellow Torpians.

Of course it's possible to download an IRC client as well. To do so, follow this tutorials for mIRC (commercial) or Chatzilla (Firefox add-on) and you will be online within minutes!

There are many other IRC clients you can use, but most of them have a similar way to be configured. Just read one of the tutorials so you know how to configure your favourite IRC client.
